Welcome to our garden, home of our many creations. Susan Green began her fascination with sparkling glass beads in the late 1990's. At that time she sold her jewelry at shows near her home in northern California. It was in 2005, after retiring as an R.N., that she started delving into the art medium of mosaics. For the past four years, her work has been found at Washington and Oregon art and garden shows.
She is greatly inspired by nature, which is evident in her artwork. You will find birds, butterflys and flowers in her mosaic pieces. The colors of the ocean, forest and desert are weaved into her jewelry. You will find a variety of elements in both her mosaics and jewelry (glass, stone, metal, etc).
Carl officially retired as an electrcian in the winter of 2010. He started creating with recycled glass and copper in the spring of 2009, adding flower garden stakes to the In My Garden inventory. His flowers have grown into beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of art.
In the spring of 2010, Carl added cedar potting benches to the In My Garden inventory. His benches will add a purposeful piece of art to any garden.
Susan's mosaic art exploration began with a 3-dimensional star, made out of a Paper Crete form and glass mosaic. Paper Crete is a combination of pulped paper and cement. It was first developed to make building blocks for alternative housing in 3rd-world countries.
Although, the star remains a focal point in the garden display, many other mosaic forms, jewelry, glass/copper and wood creations are now highlighted.
Please join us for a walk down our meandering garden path.
